Managing Director- Founding Director of Granite Management Limited
- Active member of the global insurance industry for over 30 years
- Prior to Granite (2000-2010) was the Chief Underwriting Officer at General Motors’ (GM) captive in Bermuda
- Pioneer in the financing of Employee Benefits in captives having developed one of the first and the world’s largest Employee Benefits captive while at GM and which he still manages at Granite
- At GM had responsibility for all Life, Non Life, Affinity and Marine covers and the development of new opportunities for the captive to assist GM in saving costs on insurance purchases and other financial transactions
- Prior to GM, was employed at various broking houses in the UK and Ireland with responsibility for the service and management of global insurance programs for multinational clients

- Over 10 years of experience and extensive knowledge in global employee benefits insurance and reinsurance industry. With exceptional track record of implementing, developing and executing global underwriting strategies for multinational corporations
- Prior to Granite, Vrej assumed multiple underwriting senior leadership roles with leading global employee benefits providers, including his latest role with MetLife/MAXIS GBN where he was responsible for development and execution of employee benefits underwriting strategies globally
- Bachelor’s degree in Banking and Finance from University of Aleppo, Syria
